Swedish Massage

The term "Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management.

Deep Tissue Massage: Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as a Swedish massage but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots

Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular massage is a form of deep massage that is applied to individual muscles. It is used primarily to release trigger points (intense knots of muscle tension that refer pain to other parts of the body), and also to increase blood flow. It is often used to reduce pain.

Sports Massage

Sports massage uses techniques that are similar to Swedish and deep tissue, but are specially adapted to deal with the effects of athletic performance on the body and the needs of athletes regarding training, performing, and recovery from injury.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy works by helping the body's natural healing mechanisms dissipate the negative effects of stress on the central nervous system Using a touch generally no heavier than the weight of a nickel, skilled practitioners can monitor this rhythm at key body points to pinpoint the source of an obstruction or stress. The practitioner works with light holds on the head and other parts of the body. This work is done without oil while the client is dressed in comfortable clothing.

Lymphatic

A gentle stimulation of the lymph system to activate a detox. The massage is very relaxing with gentle sweeping motions on the skin. With a healthy lymph system, lymph is collected from the tissues to provide cellular nourishment & also collects waste materials from the tissues for excretion from the body. A stagnant lymph system can lead to sinus & respiratory problems as well as impaired immune function.

Raindrop Therapy

Raindrop Therapy uses a sequence of nine highly essential oils. They are dropped like rain from a height of about 6 inches onto the spine and then lightly massaged in using various hand to body techniques, hot towels are applied over the body and then Reiki is applied for the last 15 minutes. This stimulates energy impulses and disperses the oils along the nervous system throughout the entire body. Although a session lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, the oils will continue to work in the body for a week or more following the treatment. The oils used in this treatment are: birch, thyme, oregano, wintergreen, cypress, peppermint, basil, majorum, equilibrium blend and Rainease, which is used as a carrier oil.
